Permitting and Air Pollution Emission Notices (APEN)

Facilities that have the potential to emit air pollution may be required to report their emissions or apply for construction permits. The type of APEN and/or permit needed is dependent on your emission inventory. We will work together to determine if you need an air permit, what permit is best for your operation, and we will ensure your permit can grow with your facility.

Modeling

We are experts in using approved process simulation models such as EPA Tanks, E&P Tanks, ProMax, AERMOD, AERMET as well as other open-source software.  Modeling starts with proper sampling and accurate data inputs so we follow that process from beginning to end to ensure defensible site characterization and emission factors.

Emission Inventories

Determining your company's need to report for air emissions starts with your emission inventory.  With your data, we can swiftly and accurately calculate your emissions to best determine what rules apply to your facilty and how to comply with them.

Colorado Reg 3 and Reg 7 Compliance and Reporting

Colorado has recently implemented the nation's toughest rules for methane controls and it's likely other states will follow suit.  We will look at your comprehensive ownership/operatorship and make accurate determinations about how (and if) these new rules apply to you, we will walk you through how to ensure compliance, and we can even tally and submit your monthly and annual reports.  We are experienced with navigating the challenges of system-wide controls for the ozone season and can help you undertsand if you are and will be properly controlled to meet the 90% reduction requirements.

Other Air Regulatory Reporting, STEM and LDAR

Are you subject to Quad O reporting?  Greenhouse Gas Reporting?  Are your engines properly controlled and is your regulatory authority aware of your inventory?  Have you began your Approved Instrument Monitoring Methods (AIMM) for LDAR and STEM?  Has an independent source looked at your LDAR frequencies and STEM plans to ensure your field work is on schedule?  We help our clients save money and time by better understanding how these frequencies are determined.

Training

We understand that many companies want to keep their reporting and compliance in house.  We will be happy to work one-on-one with your environmental health and safety coordinator to show you what you need to do, alert you to deadlines and dates, and give you that confidence to understand Air and how the rules apply to your company.
